DMCA & Copyright Notifications

Stream2Watch — Legal Sports Guide is an editorial publication. We do not host streams, embed players, or distribute video. The most common DMCA notifications we receive are based on confusion with operators on similar domain names (stream2watch.tv, stream2watch.com, etc.). We are not those sites. Please verify the domain before filing.

If, after reviewing the content of this site, you still believe we are publishing material that infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, this page sets out the formal procedure.

Filing a DMCA notification

Under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), a complete DMCA notification must include:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works on a single site, a representative list).
3. Identification of the material on this site claimed to be infringing — provide the full URL of the page in question.
4. Your contact information — full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Our response

Upon receipt of a complete and compliant DMCA notification, we will:

1. Acknowledge receipt within 48 hours.
2. Review the specific URL and the claim.
3. If the claim is substantiated, take down or modify the page within an additional 48 hours.
4. Notify the original author of the affected page.

We treat all DMCA notifications seriously and process them in order received. We do not retaliate against good-faith notifications even where we ultimately disagree with the merits.

Counter-notifications

If you are an author whose work was taken down in response to a DMCA notification and you believe the takedown was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. §512(g). A complete counter-notification must include all of the items required by statute. Direct counter-notifications to the same email address with subject line DMCA Counter-Notification.

Misuse of the DMCA process

Filing a DMCA notification in bad faith — including filing a notification against an editorial publication describing a competitor’s services or pricing — may expose the filer to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). We refer bad-faith filings to legal counsel.
